Higher Education in Eastern Region
Welcome to our Higher Education members.
UNISON has the biggest non teaching union membership in the universities in Eastern Region. We represent members in a wide variety of jobs-all of which help keep our universities working smoothly. We have museum keepers , administrators, laboratory technicians, and college porters. Cooks, gardeners, cleaners and 'bedders' join staff in university and college libraries, finance staff and many more.
Our branches are based in each of the Universities in the Region and they meet together quarterly to share ideas, decide policy and help organise our union in the university services to help and support members who work there.
If you would like to get involved, or learn more, contact your branch. There are lots of ways you can help while also building on your own learning and skills through the union. If you become a representative, we will offer you training much of which helps you to gain learning credits.
