Message from Chair of our Regional Health Committee and 'lay member' activist,  Jenni Saunders:

I am delighted to welcome you to the UNISON Eastern Region Health page. I work in the NHS and hope the information on the site will keep all existing members updated and encourage new members to  join us and help us build our union.  The site will be updated regularly to keep you informed of the latest developments on what UNISON as the largest healthcare trade union is doing for our members in the East of England.

UNISON is the UK's largest healthcare trade union - over 400,000 people who work in the NHS and for private contractors providing NHS services are UNISON members.  Our health members can be found in all areas of health and in all pay bands -including

nurses, student nurses, midwives, health visitors, healthcare assistants, paramedics, cleaners, porters, catering staff, medical secretaries, clerical and admin staff, HR, finance, IT, management and scientific and technical staff.

Our Regional Health committee is a representative group of lay member delegates from all our branches in the region who are nominated by their branch members to attend. These members volunteer their time to meet quarterly representing all our branches and help take forward all our key campaigns and policies.  Your locals branch representatives will be contactable within your own organisation if you would like further information on UNISON and their services.

Message from Tracey Lambert:

As Head of Health, I lead a team of organising and support staff who look after branch activists in health care. Our trained organisers and branch activists provide a range of support to assist you in the workplace.
