Comunication from an employer about a dispute letter or ballot notice
Trade dispute letters are now with the ministers and appropriate employers organisations. Copies of those letters will start to reach private contractors from tomorrow.
Ballot notices will start to reach employers on Thursday of this week.
We need to be prepared for employers contacting the union about these letters and notices. We are in the process of finalising our internal process for dealing with them and I will update you about this again shortly -
however in the meantime if you receive any communication from an employer - whether its an informal query; an email or a formal letter; then please contact ballots@unison.co.uk asap.
Members Liaison Unit will take the necessary steps to liaise with our legal team to provide regions with advice on how to respond including providing any appropriate wording.
