Black History Month

Welcome to our Black History Month webpage. If you, your community or your Branch is planning to do anything for Black History month during the month of October this year then don't forget to let us know so that we can add it to this page.

So, what actually is Black History Month all about? Well, Black History Month has been celebrated in the UK for over 30 years and each year it is growing from strength to strength. It is about celebrating the achievements and the history of black people. Happening annually during the month of October, Black History Month brings an opportunity to learn about the perspectives and experiences of black people, promote a multicultural society, as well as give acknowledgement to the contributions that black people bring to our communities, our workplaces, to our society and to our history.
