Black Members in UNISON:

• Are at the forefront of UNISON's organising work
As black members in UNISON we work together to win positive change in the workplace. The more of us that are actively involved the stronger we become. The stronger we are the more positive change we can make in the workplace for our members.
The Eastern Region Black Members Committee meets 4 times a year to discuss and action the Black Members annual work programme. The BMC also receive reports back from representatives who sit on all Regional Committees/Council, the National Black Members Committee, SERTUC and other regional committees for example the Regional Equality Action Group and the various service groups.
