Pride Festivals 2012
2012 looks set to be a very busy year for UNISON LGBT members in Eastern Region. Four Pride events have been confirmed for this year, which are listed below:-
Suffolk Pride, which was cancelled in 2011, is scheduled for 16th June 2012 at Christchurch Park in Ipswich.
Norwich Pride, fast becoming the regions largest Pride event and hoping to be bigger, better and prouder for 2012 is on July 28th at the Forum in Norwich.
Cambridge PINK Festival, plans to make a two day comeback this year having not run since 2010. The current dates that UNISON has been made aware of are August 18th - 19th.
Essex Pride - not PRIDEed out yet? then this is the event to end the year with. Another fast growing and popular event which is usually held during the first weekend of September.....watch this space for further details.
Other UK Pride Events - travelling further afield this year and want to know the whereabouts of the nearest Pride event? - then information contained in this link could be just what you are looking for. Don't forget to look out for the UNISON stall at any of the Pride events you attend and say 'hello' !
The LGBT Committee are planning to have a UNISON presence at all of the Pride events in the Region. If you are a UNISON member and want to get involved with running the UNISON Regional LGBT stall at any of the events above then email Cheryl Godber or Theresa Jones - your help will be welcomed and very much appreciated.
