Learning opportunities through UNISON
This page outlines the current developments within Lfelong Learning and Unison; covering intiatives from UNISON Nationaly through to Regional and ocal learning initiatives.
Learning, Diversity and Equality in Unison National Union Learning Fund Project - LEDU
This national project was established on 1st April 2008 and is due to finish on the 31st March 2010. This national project has allowed UNISON to develop a number of projects within it's English Regions. Within UNISON Eastern Region we have a developed numberof small learning projects with Branches.
Unisonm Eastern Region has also developed a major programme in conjunction with the East of England NHS to increase the number of Union Learning Reps, increase the number of Learning Ageements and increase the uptake of the Joint Invetsment Fund - JIF - training within the Health Sector paybands 1-4. This Regional project is called the SHA/Unison ULR Project
LEDU 2010 to 2011 -UNISON LAOS dept iscurrently writing a bid to the Union Learning Fund to extent the project through to 31st March 2011. Further etails will be made available on this website in January 2010.
Right to Request Training in the Workplace
The Government has launched it's Skil White Paper in November 2009. Included in he white paer is references to the excellent work Union Learning Rps undertake in the workplace. Eastern Regional Learning Developments and Initiatives 2010
The Region is planning to hold a Regional Learning Conference in September 2010. Further details will appear on this website in the next few Months.
