Regional Lay Learning Committee
The Regional Lay Learning Committee - RLLC - was established in June 2008. The role of the RLLC is to develop and promote Lifelong Learning initiatives within the Eastern Region, as well as developing policies and strategies on new national, regional and local Learning initiatives. The RLLC also acts as a formal networking group where other senior ULRs and Learning Co-ordinators can share good and bad experiences from their workplaces in regards to implementing lifelong learning programmes.
The RLLC is also tasked with developing and promoting the Regional Learning Conference, which will be open to ALL ULRs and LEARNING CO-ORDINATORS, and is planned to run in September.
The RLLC is currently classed as an informal committee, this means that it has not been constituted by the Regional Council. It is hoped that during 2010 this position will chnage and that the RLLC will be formally recognised by the Regional Council.
Therefore membership of the RLLC is open to 1 ULR or Learning Co-ordinator per Banch. Currently the membership of the RLLC stands at 15 delegates, including 1 Chairperson and 1 minute taker, as well as the Regional Learning and Development Officer, and othe Project Workers responsible for Learning Projects.
Dates of the RLLC meetings in 2010
The RLLC meets 4 times a year in March, June, September and December. The actual dates will be published in the next few days.
