Stewards Refresher (ERA Reaccreditation)
Who is it for?
For reps and branch officers who did a Stewards 1 course over five years ago OR reps and branch officers who have never done Stewards 1 but have been carrying out the full role of a steward i.e. representing members on grievances & disciplinaries.
Please note this is not a course for new reps - they should do the Stewards Induction Part 1 course.
What will it be about?

The course is designed to meet the requirements of the Employment Relations Act (ERA) on reaccreditation.
The course aims to:
• Update reps on new legislation which is relevant to their role, particularly the updated Grievance and Disciplinary procedures and the Public Sector Equality Duties
• Introduce new developments within UNISON, including Meeting the Organising Challenge
• Develop new skills and ideas including preparing for cases and encouraging and supporting new activists.
